I recently became a mother, and my experience was challenging. I had the privilege of paying a domestic worker to help me through it. She gave me love at a time when my parents couldn't travel because of the pandemic. She supported me in the most challenging transition of my life, becoming a mother. My story is the story of many, many people. That is why health and safety are essential to domestic workers, because they not only allow us to continue doing our work, but they also care for and give us tremendous support and love.
