Thank you for celebrating 15 years with us!

Just over a week ago, over 150 representatives from NDWA’s Affiliate Organizations and Chapters, our national Worker Councils, partners and movement allies gathered in Washington D.C. for our NDWA National Congress and 15th Anniversary Celebration. More than 1,000 workers and supporters also joined the celebration via livestream from all around the country.

NDWA 15th Anniversary Celebration

Whether you were in the room, participating via livestream, or are getting these updates now for the first time, we wanted to take this moment to say THANK YOU — for helping to make the domestic worker movement a powerful force and ensuring our 15th anniversary year is one of joy, motivation and awe. Every day, our collective voice grows stronger and it was our honor to bring to life the stories of both our domestic worker leaders and allies leading up to and during the event. And, if you missed it, you can always watch a short recap of the celebration here.

We feel especially privileged to be on this journey with all of you and we are so grateful to you for helping us grow into this powerful, women of color-led organization.

If our 15th Anniversary celebration left you feeling inspired, we hope you’ll consider taking these simple steps right now to keep NDWA going strong for the next 15 years:

  • Make a donation. Your gift will help fuel the largest women of color-led organization in this country as we fight for the just and caring society we all deserve.
  • Tell a friend. Forward this email to your friends and ask them to join you in supporting domestic workers organizing for dignity and power by joining our email or sms list.
  • Follow us on social. Stay up to date by following us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
  • Learn more. In honor of our 15th Anniversary, we put together a fun quiz so you can test your knowledge. Take the quiz now and get entered to win an NDWA swag bag. Or, check out our interactive timeline to learn more about domestic worker history.
