Each month, we highlight the voices and stories of our members who are making a difference in the domestic work movement. These interviews celebrate the dedication, skill, and heart that care workers bring to their communities, while shedding light on their personal journeys, inspirations, and visions for a future where all care work is respected and valued.
To be recognized as a care provider and for others to see the value of my profession, because care work is rooted in love and kindness.
My mother was the driving force to my profession as a care provider because she always provided care to others in the community. As I grew up, I also enjoyed time providing care for children because this is embedded in me.
The ability to provide love, to motivate and inspire each other with goodness and values is the foundation of a caring community. We work in isolation, so it is important for us to recognize our contributions and share with others as care workers because we aren’t recognized enough for our selfless work.
“Love sincerely and care for each other deeply.”
