IRVINE – On August 29, the National Domestic Workers Alliance (NDWA) joined Olivia Rodrigo’s inaugural Daisy Chain Fields festival as one of 10 nonprofit partners working to advance the well-being, rights, and economic security of women and girls.
The festival raised $10 million for its nonprofit partners, with a matching contribution from Melinda French Gates bringing the total to $20 million in support for participating organizations, including NDWA. Throughout the weekend, NDWA helped bring domestic workers and care into the broader conversation about gender justice, economic security, and the future we want to build for women and families – while introducing a younger generation to the workers who make care possible and the movement fighting for their rights and recognition.
