Tens of thousands of families came together on Saturday for inspiring Families First Mobilizations across the country – showing massive opposition to Congress’ decision to sacrifice healthcare for millions in order to fund billionaire tax cuts and ICE deportations and detentions that are terrorizing our communities.

Together, we stood up for the livelihoods of domestic workers and brought families and care workers impacted by the cuts together to show our lawmakers that we won’t stop fighting for healthcare, care workers, and our communities. But we’re just getting started.

Next up, the National Domestic Workers Alliance is proud to co-sponsor a powerful livestream event on July 30, alongside national and local partners, to bring our communities together to unpack the devastating bill – and organize to fight back.

Will you join us July 30 at 8pm ET/ 5pm PT to make meaning, build power, and prepare for action this August and beyond?

Graphic saying: Build Power for the Fight Forward

All our communities are going to feel the deadly consequences of the largest health care cuts in history. Care workers will lose their jobs and their health care, millions will have their coverage ripped away, and health care costs will increase for everyone.

This livestream marks the 60th anniversary of Medicaid and Medicare on July 30th – and is a chance to hear directly from movement leaders, impacted people, union organizers, and elected officials such as Senator Sanders and Representative Jayapal about what’s in the bill, how it will impact our communities, and what we must do next to fight forward.

It will feature speakers from across our networks, a performance by Taina Asili and Pauline Pisano, and will ensure our communities have the resources we need to keep fighting by sharing toolkits and actions to take now and later.

This is about more than one bill – it’s about standing together to fight for our future. We hope you’ll join us on the 30th to kick off the next phase of this fight.

As always, thanks for all you do,
