The National Domestic Workers Alliance (NDWA) is the home for this country’s 2.5 million nannies, housecleaners, and caregivers. Since 2018, the Pennsylvania Chapter of NDWA has been organizing domestic workers to build power, win labor protections, and create community for domestic workers. We have a strong multiracial, multilingual membership who work together to make sure that all domestic work is dignified, safe and respected!

Every domestic worker in Philadelphia has the right to fair treatment, safe working conditions, and respect on the job. Knowing your rights is the first step to protecting yourself and your community. Below are resources to help you understand your labor protections.
Through the generosity of our supporters, the Pennsylvania Chapter of the National Domestic Workers Alliance has helped win major victories, including the Philadelphia Domestic Workers Bill of Rights and stronger protections against retaliation and wage theft.
Your donation fuels worker-led organizing, leadership training, and enforcement efforts so these hard-won rights are real in workers’ lives. Give today — and stand with the domestic workers who make our communities stronger.
