Right now, the Department of Labor is moving to strip federal minimum wage and overtime protections from home care workers.
Home care workers do essential, skilled work that allows millions of families to age with dignity in their own homes. Stripping their protections would roll back hard-won rights and send a dangerous message that care work doesn’t matter. We cannot let this happen.
Congress can protect these workers by passing the Fair Wages for Home Care Workers Act, ensuring federal minimum wage and overtime rights are written into law. No more administrative rollbacks. No more exclusions. No more treating care work as disposable.
Congress must affirm what home care workers have always known: their labor has value, their time matters, and they deserve the same rights and protections as every other American worker. Tell Congress now: support of the Fair Wages for Home Care Workers Act.
