NDWA Labs is the innovation arm of the National Domestic Workers Alliance, one of the country’s leading progressive social movement organizations. At NDWA Labs, we are building products that transform domestic work jobs into good jobs by bringing respect, living wages, and benefits to an invisible, undervalued, and vulnerable part of the economy. Rather than optimizing within the status quo, NDWA Labs leverages tech to disrupt power and fundamentally change the ways in which work is organized and compensated for the millions of women and immigrants in the domestic work industry.
We are looking for an ambitious Product Manager to lead efforts to build and launch new products. You will manage the product expansion of the Alia platform (a product that makes it easy for domestic workers to access benefits such as paid time off) to serve additional use cases, including benefits for domestic workers in major US cities and for top gig work companies.
The Problem We’re Solving: The way we work is changing. More and more people are working independently without the economic scaffolding benefits such as paid sick days or workers compensation. The rise of the gig economy and freelancing is widening the massive hole in our social safety net. We are harnessing the power of design and technology to finally do something about it for millions of low-wage workers who power our economy. Without a bold plan and new solutions, it won’t end well for most of us.
Who You Are: You are a seasoned product manager who can own the product roadmap and ensure delivery with engineering teams. You have a record of shipping successful products and owning the cycle end-to-end. You are passionate about delivering useful customer experience and hitting metrics.
